Robert J. Fitzsimmons

Managing Partner
Robert J. Fitzsimmons co-founded High Road in 2007 and serves on the Board of Directors of most of its portfolio companies. Bob is responsible for overall firm strategy/execution and portfolio management. Previously, Bob served as a Managing Partner with The Riverside Company, a leading private equity firm focused on the smaller end of the middle market. Bob was with Riverside from 1994 through 2006 and led the acquisition of 18 companies (nine platforms and nine add-ons) there. Bob has investment experience with manufacturing, service and distribution companies in a wide range of industries. During his tenure at Riverside, Bob served on the Board of Directors of 13 of its investments.
Prior to joining Riverside in 1994, Bob was an investment professional with Citicorp Venture Capital, an investment banker with Citicorp Mergers & Acquisitions, and an auditor and tax accountant with Price Waterhouse. He is a frequent speaker at private equity industry events. Bob received a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania in 1984 and an M.B.A in Finance from the University of Chicago in 1989.

William C. Connell

Partner
William C. Connell co-founded High Road in 2007 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Advanced Sleep Medicine Services, PANOS brands and Handi Quilter, and previously served on the Board of Directors of Milwaukee Gear. Bill is a lead transaction partner responsible for reviewing investment opportunities and managing portfolio company investments. Bill has completed four platform company acquisitions (Milwaukee Gear, Advanced Sleep Medicine Services, PANOS brands and Handi Quilter) and one platform company exit (Milwaukee Gear).
Previously, Bill was a Vice President with The Riverside Company. Bill was with Riverside from 2002 through 2006 and was involved in five acquisitions and three exits, and served on the Board of Directors of four portfolio companies. Prior to joining Riverside in 2002, Bill spent five years at Connell Limited Partnership, a holding company that owns controlling interests in several manufacturing companies. Bill worked in finance and operations at Connell Limited Partnership. Bill graduated from Boston College in 1994 with a B.A. in English, and received his M.B.A from Harvard Business School in 2002.

Jeffrey M. Goodrich

Partner
Jeffrey M. Goodrich co-founded High Road in 2007 and currently serves on the Board of Directors of All Current Electrical Sales, Celco, Dowden Medical Communications Group, BlueSpire and Accurate Component Sales, and previously served on the Board of Directors of Accentus. Jeff is a lead transaction partner responsible for reviewing investment opportunities and managing portfolio company investments. Jeff has completed five platform company acquisitions (All Current Electrical Sales, Accentus, Celco, Dowden Health Media and Accurate Component Sales) and one platform company exit (Accentus).
Previously, Jeff was a Vice President with The Riverside Company. Jeff was with Riverside from 2002 through 2006 and was involved in five acquisitions and two exits, and served on the Board of Directors of three portfolio companies. Prior to joining Riverside in 2002, Jeff spent six years in the Corporate Finance Division of IBJ Whitehall Bank & Trust Company, where he provided senior debt, mezzanine debt, and equity co-investments to support middle-market buyouts and recapitalizations. Jeff graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1994 with a B.S. in Economics and a B.A. in International Relations, and received his M.B.A in Finance and Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 2000.

William B.R. Hobbs

Operating Partner
William B.R. Hobbs joined High Road in 2007 and serves on the Board of Directors of All Current Electrical Sales, BlueSpire, Advanced Sleep Medicine Services, Handi Quilter and Accurate Component Sales, and previously served on the Board of Directors of Milwaukee Gear and Accentus. Bill is responsible for working with portfolio management teams to formulate and implement value creation initiatives, acquire and integrate add-on acquisitions with the goal of achieving operational excellence. Bill has worked in the past as CEO, chairman, and director of portfolio companies for several private equity firms. He has served in president and CEO roles in diverse industries such as construction equipment, steel processing, industrial distribution, plastic and metal manufacturing, direct mail catalog and Internet retailing. He has worked in companies ranging in size from $25 million to $1 billion in revenue with responsibility for operations in over 20 countries worldwide. Bill received a B.A. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University in 1971 and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1975.

Jerome F. Anderson

Operating Partner
Jerome F. Anderson joined High Road in 2012 and serves on the Board of Directors of Celco, Dowden Medical Communications Group and PANOS brands. Jerry is responsible for working with portfolio management teams to formulate and implement value creation initiatives, acquire and integrate add-on acquisitions with the goal of achieving operational excellence.
Jerry began his career with 3M Company in industrial and packaging related sales and marketing assignments and then moved to 3M’s Asia/Pacific operations and served as Managing Director of 3M Indonesia. Subsequent to 3M, Jerry was the President and CEO of Unipac Corporation and Stoffel Seals Corporation, two Riverside-owned companies with operations in the United States, Canada, Europe, South America and Asia. Under Jerry’s leadership, both companies developed a clear strategic focus, completed add-on acquisitions and expanded to international markets resulting in successful exits to strategic and financial buyers. Jerry has also served on the boards of several private equity portfolio companies. Jerry received a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from Indiana University – Kelley School of Business in 1974.

Ben A. Schnakenberg

Principal
Ben A. Schnakenberg joined High Road in 2008 and serves on the Board of Directors of BlueSpire, Dowden Medical Communications Group, Celco and Accurate Component Sales. Ben is a lead transaction principal and has been involved in five platform company acquisitions and one platform company exit (Accentus).
Prior to joining High Road, Ben was a Senior Vice President at LaSalle Bank, now part of Bank of America, where he served for three years as the chief of staff to LaSalle’s CEO and where he had also previously spent three years in middle-market commercial banking. Ben also spent two years at Madison Capital Funding, where he provided senior and subordinated debt financing and equity co-investments for leveraged buyouts and recapitalizations of middle-market companies. Ben received a B.A. in Political Science and English from Valparaiso University in 2000 and an M.B.A from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 2009. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Richard P. Prestegaard

Director of Business Development
Richard P. Prestegaard joined High Road in 2007 and is the Director of Business Development. Rich is responsible for leading the Firm’s dedicated deal sourcing effort by establishing relationships with business intermediaries across the U.S. and Canada. Prior to joining High Road, Rich was an investment banker in the consumer products and retail industry group at Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Barclays Capital, Rich worked as an investment banker in the consumer/retail groups at Citigroup and Advest, and was a valuation consultant at Price Waterhouse. Rich is an experienced corporate finance and business development professional who has succeeded in establishing and building client relationships through a combination of creativity and responsiveness, and is an active board member of the ACG New York chapter (Association for Corporate Growth). Rich received a B.A. in Sociology from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts in 1991 and an M.B.A degree in Finance and Accounting from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 1996.

Daniel J. Gaspar

Principal
Daniel J. Gaspar joined High Road in 2011 as a Vice President responsible for reviewing investment opportunities and managing portfolio company investments. At High Road, Dan has completed one platform acquisition (Handi Quilter), three add-on acquisitions (SDCV, Pacific Sleep and Ry-Con Specialty Foods) and one platform company exit (Milwaukee Gear). He is also involved in the portfolio management of PANOS brands and Advanced Sleep Medicine Services.
Prior to joining High Road, Dan worked in private equity at Gotham Private Equity Partners (formerly CN Private Equity) and Trimaran Capital Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing investment opportunities, leading diligence and negotiations and managing portfolio companies. At his previous firms, Dan was involved in five platform acquisitions, four add-on acquisitions and three exits. Previously, Dan served on the Board of Directors of Intergis LLC, Two-Twenty Records Management LLC and Cyalume Technologies Holdings, Inc. (OTCBB:CYLU). Dan started his career as an investment banker in the Global Media and Communications Group at Morgan Stanley. Dan received a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2001 and an M.B.A in Finance from Columbia Business School in 2005.

Paul C. Langley

Senior Associate
Paul C. Langley joined High Road in 2010 and is a Senior Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, Paul was an investment banking analyst at Duff & Phelps, where he worked across various industries focusing on M&A, refinancing and restructuring transactions. Prior to Duff & Phelps, Paul was an analyst at Brown, Gibbons, Lang & Co, a middle-market investment bank. Paul received a B.A. in Economics and Finance from Washington University in St. Louis in 2007.

Ivane Chou

Chief Compliance Officer / Controller
Ivane D. Chou joined High Road in 2009 and is the Controller and Chief Compliance Officer. Prior to joining High Road, Ivane was an Assistant Controller at Francisco Partners, a global private equity firm focused on investments in technology. Previously, Ivane worked at Presidential Brokerage, an asset management and advisory firm. Ivane received a B.S. in Management Science from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) in 2003.

Matthew G. Rainwater

VP - Investor Relations and Marketing
Matthew G. Rainwater joined High Road in 2012 and is responsible for investor relations and marketing. Previously, Matt served as an investor relations professional at Aetos Capital Asia, an investment manager focused on acquiring real estate assets in Japan and China. In addition, he previously worked as an analyst for Park Hill and was involved with the origination and project management of several capital raising mandates. Matt started his career with KPMG as an associate in their corporate and real estate tax practices. Matt received a B.B.A and Masters in Accounting from the University of Georgia in 2004.

Eugene Kolodin

Associate
Eugene Kolodin joined High Road in 2013 and is an Associate on the Investment Team. Previously, Eugene was an investment banking analyst at KeyBanc Capital Markets, where he worked with Consumer & Retail companies focusing on M&A, equity and financing transactions. Eugene received a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from The Ohio State University in 2010.
